Princess Coronis as a Young Child / Milkweed

This group of images was inspired by the common milkweed. The plant grows wild where I live and is most well known for its vital role in the life cycle of Monarch butterflies. Its scientific name comes from Asclepius, the Greek deity associated with healing. In these photos, I imagined a young Coronis, a mortal and the mother of Asclepius, when she was a young wilderness princess.
