Photographs of contemporary burial plots and memorials that have been embellished and decorated to create what is commonly referred to as a garden.
These little spaces are not maintained by the local council, but by the individuals who place objects in the gardens. Council workers who maintain the grounds are instructed to not interfere with the gardens. This creates a situation where some are immaculate and some are neglected.
The photographs were taken at cemeteries in the North of England.
