Warsaw, Poland, 2019 - 2022,
Warsaw's history is rich and complex, especially in the recent past which brought much suffering to the city. During the 44 years of the Communist regime, Warsaw experienced a period of austerity and monotony. Even the permanent residents of the city labeled it as provincial and dull, despite the place being the capital of a nation of almost 40 million people.
However, in recent years, Warsaw has undergone a remarkable transformation and is now a vibrant and diverse modern city that is almost unrecognizable from its former self.
As the capital, it attracts a wide range of social, professional, and political groups who use the city as a platform for demonstrations and protests. Architecture has also undergone significant changes, and Warsaw is now a culturally and socially diverse place that prides itself on its tolerance and openness.
The photographer has observed and documented this phenomenon for over three years.
