There's a balance to be achieved with street photography. An authenticity coupled with simple human emotion and expression. Candid where possible but not random. Eschewing slickness in production but using every resource of observation to find composition, exquisite light, juxtaposition, humour, pathos and joy.
All of these images work well in colour except the picture of the prostrate beggar in London which, due to some brightly coloured shirts, works best in monochrome.
I work with a background of simple themes, to focus my attention. However I prize the serendipitous such as the New York image.
