During the Covid confinement, the Senior Citizens Group was seriously affected, being if not the one with the most deaths per 100 inhabitants. For a long time I have been thinking about paying tribute to our Elders, everyone's. It was after the first wave when, through a local Foundation that, with its support and coordination, we were able to access several Geriatric Centers where the elderly told us about their daily life in the Pandemic, as well as their lives, they spoke to us about love, hunger, and pain. , of sorrow, of joy, of hope. The behavior they had is admirable. Fortitude, pride, resistance and above all resilience.
It will take us a while to recognize it, because the pain for the thousands of dead is still very present, but we must not forget.
Here is my small tribute to this beautiful group of which I am proud.
