For me, Street Photography is a love affair with life. It is about images of a random moment in time as we live our lives in streets, buildings and public spaces during the course of everyday urban living. Images that communicate the world to others, the huge variety of people, cultures and communities that live together in cities.
People are fascinating and my photography relies on opportunities that present whilst walking around or waiting at a particular place. Each person coming along in front of me has their own life, weaving their pathway through all the individuality of their existence and their city.
I choose black and white photography to reflect the earlier tradition of street photographers prior to colour and beautiful shades of black, white and grey.
