The work was done in Jerusalem near the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Tourists and pilgrims have to walk a lot, and they literally fall off their feet from fatigue. And in a not very convenient place, on the steps. The composition is based on the comparison of objects in the light and in the shadow.
