Moulting of cranes.

During the moulting period, cranes shed all their flight feathers. They are unable to fly for several weeks. During this period, they are extremely vigilant and hide in the forests. They find food there. At dawn, they emerge from the water through secret paths in the thickets of reeds and rushes. They come back in the evening. Not always all of them.
