Last Light is a photographic narrative about light and life fading, but not all together lost. The series is a reflection on the impermanence of life and the importance of relationships.
The series is photographed at locations in the South Western most part of England, the area of mainland that receives the last light of the day. The locations are literally at the 'end of the line'. Nothing lies beyond the streets except sea - the great beyond.
Shadows are a prominent feature within the series, representing time winding down as the shadows grow longer throughout the series.
I chose a subdued colour palette for the series so that the streets and people who inhabit them have an ethereal look, to impart a feeling of transition from one state to another.
