The world is becoming increasingly unimaginable. A world of global disasters, cybercapitalism running amok and the potential
threat of extinction, dragging us into a kaleidoscopic vortex of confusion.
Using personal photographs and archive images this work decontectulalizes these forms with recomposition, print manipulation and rephotography to engage the viewer in a reality where the image is dissolved and new meanings are created.
Accelerated capitalism fragments everything, our values, belief systems, subjectivity and even meaning, into a chaos of signs, contradictory signification and messages. The real without origin or reality.
Central to this process is a positive feedback loop, with commercialization and technology mutually exciting each other. As the circuit intensifies, it exhibits greater autonomy. It grows in order to grow and it's only purpose is itself.
In an inversion of the subject/object relationship, we no longer have control over capitalism. Now we are it's host. What emerges is a dark synthesis; capitalism and AI are the same thing and we have unleashed our own destruction.
