This series of photographs shows my son Luke as he grows up over the last decade in rural West Wales and his constant involvement with the animals that surround us. People who are not used to this lifestyle might regard this as a hard life, but for us it is very natural. However, Luke has greater responsibility than average as his mother is disabled and as such, he has had to do more than most children would to help. He has never tried to shun or complain about this responsibility, and I greatly admire that about him. When I am not working along side him I will occasionally, quietly, try and take a few photographs to document his amazing effort. As I have always taken photographs he is very used to the camera and barely comments on what I am doing as such the photos that you see here are very natural.
