The series, FATHER SIDE depicts the photographer’s stay of 'Dalbang Village' located in Dalbang-dong, Gangwon-do (east shore of the Korean Peninsula). where her grandmother from her father’s side lives. The photographer shares a reminiscence from 'Dalbang Village' where the artist spent the majority of her childhood before entering elementary school. The place holds great sentimental value to the artist since it has served as a refuge and a sanctuary before the artist came of age.
Not a place to dwell, but a place of return that embraces people who have been lost. Every year when the photographer visits, she feels like 'Dalbang Village' is aging like her grandmother, so before it’s too late, she documents her 10 months stay in Dalband Village.
