Consequences

In May 2024, the state of Rio Grande do Sul was devastated by the worst flood ever recorded. Its capital, Porto Alegre, had neighborhoods invaded by the waters of Lake Guaíba, reaching historic levels, in some places exceeding two meters in height. What was seen during this catastrophic climate event was a wave of solidarity, where the population of several cities, states and nearby countries came together to save the population and animals of the flooded areas, which were severely affected. More than a hundred human lives were lost, water contamination, landslides, the total destruction of thousands of homes, and the region's fauna and flora were decimated. A war scenario, but not with weapons but with the fury of nature, crying out for respect and the opportunity for regeneration. Little by little, with the help of the Government and volunteers, the situation began to return to normal... but the sound of the rain no longer calms...
