One of the customs of wedding ceremonies in the south of Iran is to shave the groom's head and face in the presence of everyone. (This custom is called Sar Tarashon) This custom is to encourage other young people to get married. After dinner or in the evening, the ceremony of shaving the groom's head is held, in such a way that a circle of guests is formed in the middle and the groom is seated on a chair and a long green cloth is thrown over the groom's clothes. Then two of the relatives start to fix the groom's face and hair as hairdressers. At the same time, they sing local music and local poetry and circle around the groom, then one of the relatives accompanies the bride to enter this ring. Then they pour the money as a gift on the groom's head, and the rest of the guests follow the bride and pour their gifts on the groom's head in order, and this ceremony usually takes more than an hour until all the relatives and acquaintances give their gifts to their heads in the ceremony.
