When you visit Les rencontres photographiques d'Arles. You can meet your subjects while strolling along the banks of the Rhône. Such was my case this August 7, 2023. Taking advantage of the low-lying sun to take a photographic tour of the quays. This Teddy was there, sunbathing, a television set waiting to be taken away at the next garbage collection. That was all it took to inspire me to create a photographic series on the subject of our children and their relationship to screens, TV, consumerism and programmed obsolescence, denial, doggy-cratie and male violence; in this setting full of guidelines, elements, wind, question mark-shaped lights, ramparts, passers-by and nature trying to regain its place, "those weeds" that survive.
It was a few months later, when I received stickers from the Collectif Enfantistes, of which I'm a member, that these Photos took on a more specific questioning of our culture of incest and its various causes.
