An old Palestinian man tries to find peace by reading the Holy Quran in the compound of the Al Aqsa Mosque in the shade of an olive tree while waiting for the Dhuhr prayer time on 9th of March 2023. Unfortunately, life wasn’t easy for the Palestinians with so many ongoing sufferings. Their great belief in God gives them strength to hope for better times. The Al Aqsa Mosque is the world’s third holiest site for Muslims and it’s symbol of unity, faith , and divine connection together with the Dome of the Rock in front of which is the old Palestinian man reading the Holy Quran. The Keffiyeh that the Palestinian man is wearing is symbol of resistance and solidarity with the Palestinian people. It’s even more than that, it’s the Palestinian identity. The olive tree under which is sitting the Palestinian man represents peace and the Palestinian roots.
