Syncretism

Syncretism as a social phenomenon is the combination of different religions, cultures, or ideas living together side by side. In our society we need to conscious-ignore these differences to live in non stability peace . These kind of situation make us to ask many questions, questions like: How can we survive? Why do not they mix?, How does it affect our identity?, how different is the neighborhood we live from our way to be? Not only is the coexistence of the differences living side by side, it is also how external agents try to influence us and often we surrender to new ideologies . The photographs that I took of the IV festival of body paint in my country, named with the same theme: syncretism, help me to make some portraits of how I see the society without its skin
