LSD is a photographic project aimed at capturing the atmosphere that accompanies LSD use. Both my friends and I partake in this substance primarily for recreational purposes, yet we also experience moments of spiritual elevation, meditation, self-therapy, and deep philosophical reflection (although it’s usually a lot of fun) .
The greatest challenge of this work was illustrating the invisible—changes in perception, heightened hearing, melting images, and other visual sensations that exist only in our minds. In reality nothing changes, yet we find ourselves standing with one foot on this side of the mirror and the other on the opposite side.
While creating this photo reportage, my friends were under the influence of LSD, and I alsow—though not always. The photographs are not staged; I wanted this project to be equally a reportage and a theater.
