The invisible network that keeps the world running.....

A series of images taken at Malta Freeport. By using long exposure the intention is to show the real essence of its activity and the soul of the Freeport, emphasizing on the strength of an invisible network, which keeps the world running! I used light in different intensities and my imagination, to highlight the activity of this vast, invisible network, as a reference to how container shipping is bringing the whole world together into one city. My intention is to stimulate the mind of the viewer to interpret the message conveyed through the use of light, shade and tonal value, associated with an abstract concept. I prefer working almost exclusively in black and white tones to give my images a uniquely timeless appeal, both visually and in terms of the atmosphere and emotions.
