Central Park Landscape Views

These photographs are part of a series of images made from 2011-2016 in Central Park. My primary interest has been photographing people in relationship to the urban environment, but the allure of Central Park cannot be ignored. The vistas, changing light and evolution of the seasons presents both an opportunity and a challenge - wonderful views - that are photographed by a multitude of tourists and photographers every day. Without a specific objective, I captured images that I could not resist - since they reflected my fascination with light, color and the formal issues of composition. Working in a place that is filled with scenic beauty - one can only try to uncover and capture the less obvious to make photographs consistent with a personal point of view.
