12LEAVINGS was made for the 2016 MUNICIPAL invitational/event (Trent Miller, Karin Wolf, curators). 100 artists participated in mounting their work throughout the soon-to-be renovated Madison (WI) Municipal Building. The resulting photographic series was made throughout the downtown building (formerly a Federal Court House and US Post Office), focusing on 'leavings'- detritus and ephemera left behind in the emptied offices. Twelve of the photographs from the building were temporarily placed 'in situ'- in proximity to the original locations of what was photographed.
The installation event came shortly after the first election of Trump. My response- 'Hostile Takeover"- a five part photographic banner*- was given a fitting location- in the gutted lobby of the old Federal Building.
