Each diptych represents a fragment of a real story, transforming pain into a message of awareness and hope. This work is a call for reflection, uncovering the beauty and potential of what has long been hidden or ignored.
I immerse myself in these stories, seeking to understand not only the facts but also the emotions and silences they leave behind. Every detail—colors, materials, textures—carries a deliberate meaning. Confronting my vulnerability for the first time by turning the camera on myself, I learned to look beyond self-criticism and embrace the strength of self-acceptance.
This project amplifies the voices of women who have experienced violence, chronic illness, or discrimination, or who struggle to express themselves in silencing contexts. Their stories weave together pain and resilience, struggle and rebirth.
Each element—frames, needle and thread, crosses, fabrics, and plastic—acts as a symbolic voice, adding depth and complexity to the narrative. It breaks silences, challenges perceptions, and reveals the beauty and potential of what has been overlooked.
Art, for me, is a means to raise awareness and foster healing. Through diverse materials, complex symbols, and mixed techniques, I aim to embody the “naked truth,” creating a space where art comforts and truth unsettles, inviting deeper reflection.
