I work with the human body as a malleable, fragmentable figure to reveal the fragile construction of identity. Through staging, alienation and borrowings from old painting, I explore the spaces between reality and absurdity, human and object, closeness and distance. My photographs show the self in states of transition – not complete, not clear, but as a structure of breaks that reveals its own truth precisely in its fragmentation.
With Metamorphoses, I want to explore absurd body constructions, dream images that only reveal their connection to the human body upon closer inspection.
