This series was born during a night shoot at Shanghai Film Studios, where we built our own weather and mood from scratch: rain machines hammering down, fog drifting across the set, Chinese lanterns and huge HMI lights cutting through the dark. Working with Kim Lemanton, we created a modern echo of classic noir — all shadow, sheen, and suggestion.
The backlot streets, the wet pavement, the vintage car, and the carefully controlled storm gave the images their tension. Shot on Hasselblad medium-format digital.
