Land and Sea — A Shared Fate

Land and Sea — A Shared Fate is a visual exploration of the interdependence between the human body and the natural environment, developed through underwater portraiture and symbolic imagery. Rather than approaching ecological themes in a documentary way, the project uses metaphor and embodiment to reflect on fragility, responsibility, and mutual dependence. The sea and the land are not represented as separate entities, but as two interconnected states of the same living system, mirrored through the presence of two female figures. When one collapses, the other holds its breath. When one reaches out, the other remembers how to breathe.
