Reflections Paused

These photographs explore the shifting reflections that appear on the surface of moving water. Trees, sky, and surrounding light are constantly reorganized by the motion of the current, creating patterns that exist only for a fraction of a second. The images are made by observing flowing water and using the camera to interrupt that movement at a precise instant. Because the surface never truly stops moving, what appears in the frame cannot be completely predicted. Some elements align as imagined, while others emerge through chance.
