These images are snapshots taken in the historic center of Rome, where I have spent time for work and where I live. Almost devoid of the residents’ real daily life, it show to me as a stage built around the service-sector orientation of its economy (tourism, etc.). The streets thus appeared to me as artificial stages where actors perform a superficial representation with no connection to the urban and social context. A representation of life in which one perceives only the distant echo of a real exchange of knowledge and relationships with the history of the places and their life.
