The photos were taken in southern Vietnam, between the Mekong Delta and Saigon – a place I called home for a year.
Both Mekong river and Saigon move by the same principle of organized chaos. You try to predict their next move and you'd be surprised most of the time. There are two main components in the series: busy streets of Saigon and slower living river communites around Châu Đốc area, close to Cambodian border.
My main »operating« hours were 6-9am, as the markets, narrow alleys and river docks are getting ready for the day and offer some interesting transitional scenes.
