In this project, I present plants from my garden. These are random flowers that caught my attention when I was walking around the garden with the spectacular blooming, the shape of the stem, and the color of the leaves.
I present to the viewer a pseudo-botanical illustration of my garden, referring to a classic botanical illustration, but understanding the difference in their tasks and the way they are presented.
Traditional botanical illustration required not only skill, but also scientific precision; it was often created by scientists and served to create herbals and medicinal plants.
Now it may seem that plants do not play such a primary role for human survival as they did before the advent of pharmaceuticals in its modern form.
Here I do not have the task, as an illustrator of botanical atlases, to show plants with all accuracy, but there is a desire to share their value for me. The aesthetics of flowers seems to me to be one of their main values. At the same time, fixing a plant at a time when it seems most aesthetically pleasing to me evokes memories of sensations, smells, and my mood at that time.
