Casablanca, Morocco  . There's a child birthday party at the NGO and it's like if it was the birthday of all of them. Most of the girls wear their best clothes: it's a very special occasion. M. is one of the oldest mothers here, she's 25 and comes from a small city near Essaouira.

One of the children sleeping during a birthday party at the Ngo.The activities promoted in favor of single mothers begin within hospitals, where the Ngo's social workers go to sensitize women on the importance of going to the civil registry office to enroll their children, of whom, otherwise there would not be any trace.

Casablanca, Morocco . The girls eat together after finishing their work shift. The bond between them has become very strong. They spend all day together, confiding their fears and hopes. From a survey in 2011 in Morocco every year there are about 30,000 Single Mothers.

A pregnancy out of wedlock, affect the social life of the mother but especially that of children: by failing to obtain valid documents, they face many difficulties in entering within the Moroccan society.

Casablanca, March 2015. The situation of children born out of wedlock, in Morocco, is very delicate. Their future life, depends on the recognition by the father. The law, however, leaves the man free to take advantage of his dishonesty: he is not obliged to to undergo to DNA testing and so the mother is stuck in a tunnel with no exit. She didn't study, and started working to mantain the family with other 5 children. Then she met a guy who promised to marry her, but disappeared after discovering her pregnancy.
