"Julie Mihaly: She Began to Realize," an excerpt from which is shown here, was published in 1985 with support provided by The National Endowment for the Arts, The Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts and Blue Sky Gallery, The book consists of pairs Polaroid SX70 images combined with short statements. The photos were taken over a two-year period in San Francisco, CA, Madison Mills, VA and New York City.
