100% Grassfed beef is immersion in the working life of Joe Morris, MORRIS GRASSED's owner and his two teammates. Joe is raising Cattle since 20 years. This "Traditional Cowboy" is using the Holistic management in planed grazing. Theory founded by eco-biologist Allan Savory who try to imitate wild animal movements with livestocks to reverse desertification.
Holistic Management is based on the vision of an exploitation/farm as a set of key elements well balanced. Theses Elements are as well financial as environnemental.
It drives the famers to think about the impact of his farm and cattle on their environment. The goal is of course to drive a rentable business not just worried about environnement but gives benefits to it.
Cattles have to be at the right time on the right place not just for them but for the pastures too and for the wildlife too, in order to respect and contribute to the wildlife development, water conservation and soil enrichment.
The grazing is planned so that the animals are “in the right place at the right time” determined by this context, socially for the people, economically for the business, and ecologically for the health of the land.
