How did everything begin?

"You don't escape into fantasy to order avoid reality, you construct your real activity itself as an escape. " ( Slavoj Zizek) I have illustrated the mythical story of Adam and Eve in which, I believe our identity is rooted and our self understanding and creation began. Kierkegaard questioned why every person needs to create its own identity and awareness. It may be said that animals do not need this type of consciousness . He found a kind of answer and explanation from the biblical story of Genesis. The apple symbolizes the free will and knowledge, it expresses the inner harmony that was given to Adam and Eve although their decisions and actions destroyed it. Everybody is, in some way similar to them because everyone is born with a clean soul but at some point in life this may be lost. Kierkegaard suggests when we deny God we fight with our inner true nature and our identity is developed by this inner fight, who we are and who we want to be. My pictures symbolize this personal journey which make us an individual and unique person.
