The Siege of Turin

This photo series tells the story of the annual celebrations held in Turin (Italy) to commemorate the siege that the city withstood in the year 1706, when a French army tried without success to take the city, on the complicated background of the War of the Spanish Succession. On this occasion, reenactors from many historical groups parade through the city centre, dressed in uniforms from several regiments of the armies involved, paying homage to the memory of the facts.
