The Arrivals

BOAT BOAT! Lightning, rain pouring from the sky, incredibly violent waves. "No boat will arrive this night" the volunteers responsible for the landings on Lesvos said to us. But then, these two words where shouted. People started running. Screaming "there there!" And there it appeared. A small white but bright dot surrounded by the darkness of the night. It should never be forgotten that every boat landing, every camp, every child crying, every woman crying, every attempt to obtain a better life is a unique experience. Unique human beings. Unique lives. Behind every picture in the media lies a wealth of emotions, stories, people and their experiences. I hope this series will showcase that.
