A series about the dunes at the east coast of Belgium. They call these dunes , the soft dunes, as in contrary to the west side of the coast, that is supposed to be more rough. I also encorporated this soft element in the photographs.
My love for the coast goes on in this series. I really like to be in the dunes. The sand feels nice, the plants are special and the sound of the sea is soul pleasing. These dunes are a little are of wilderniss here in Belgium, whom are hard to find in this tiny country where almost all nature had to step aside for agriculture and housing. It's nice to walk around there and see no houses or other industrialised things. It is only in these circumstances that I can really get a connection with nature.
I also hope that these dunes will remain touristic free and that they will never expand the touristic area to here, enough parts of the coastline already had to make place for vacation houses.
About the technical side. All shots are made around sunset to have a nice mood. Everty time a tripod and shutter remote have been used for optimal sharpness. I use Lee filters to balance the light. And the finishing touch happens in adobe camera raw and photoshop cs6.
