Le nez en l'air - As I look up

Can we figure out where we are on earth when looking out there? Are the sky and the sun looking different depending on where we stand? I started looking up with those questions in mind and I surprisingly discovered that staring into space could tell you a lot about where you are as much as it could totally mislead you. Moreover, possibilities are infinite.
