The Oklahoma City National Memorial encompasses much of the blast zone. The Field of Empty Chairs rests upon the foundation of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building while the Reflecting pool covers the portion of NW 5th Street which ran past the federal building. Other aspects of the memorial include a section of the chain-link fence that cordoned off the area during the rescue and investigation which still displays many tokens left at the site shortly after the bombing, Rescuers' Orchard where the infamous Survivor Tree still stands after bearing the blast, the Children's Area (the hand print wall) resides outside the door to the museum housed within the Journal Record Building opposite the federal building. The "And Jesus Wept" statue, though not officially a part of the National Memorial holds vigil across Harvey Ave. at St. Joseph Old Cathedral.
