Addis Skatepark

Theres something about skateboarding that brings out a sense of brotherhood in skaters, perhaps its the common understanding of the personal struggle everyone goes through while trying a trick, and through that comes an immediate personal connection. In april 2016, 60 volunteers from Japan, Australia, Jordan, USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Libya, Canada, India, South Africa, Sweden, and France met for the first time in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to construct the first public skatepark in the country. This series is a documentation of the construction site over a month of 10 hour shifts under uneasy weather of Addis.
