Traces of a parallel world

Mysteries lie all around us - even in the most notorious places of the world - waiting only to be perceived… Photography is inseparably connected to reality. But sometimes, visual reality becomes bizarre and absurd once it is reduced to the two-dimensional level. Reflections play a big part in that mysterious transformation. These layered and ambiguous pictures of public spaces were found by chance in everyday reality. They are not put in scene nor manipulated in Photoshop. This series shows a world that resembles our own, but that also contains astonishing and weird elements. Each photograph represents a visual enigma that evokes questions and that needs to be solved. By showing delusions and illusions, a certain falsity sneaks into the picture. As a result, the truth gains a paradoxical character and the photographs arouse a certain feeling of discontent. By grouping these mysterious pictures of the streets of the world into a series, the whole turns out to be a certain proof of the fact that there is more than the normal visible reality. The viewer becomes in a way a witness of some traces of a parallel world.
