A Place to Rest

A PLACE TO REST Sofas - Chairs - Mattresses As I passed through the abandoned buildings around the Salton Sea I came across many sofas, chairs and mattresses. I wonder the back-stories of these abandoned items used for rest. I wonder how did it end up here? How long did the sofas or chairs sit in someone’s home? How many different homes? How many people were intimate on them? How many times in these conditions? Were they passed down, or single owner? How many heads slept on those mattresses? And how many times in these filthy conditions? It’s these questions about the items I find intriguing.
