Keeping Time

As if you were mine to be kept, or even lightly designed to be held, I have recorded you here, over the course of a year: my time. These are the same views visually repeated; of the landscape photographed systematically according to solar intervals of solstices and equinoxes- from Summer to Summer and every moment in between. Photographs of entire seasons has given allowance to these windows of time to individually dictate their own unique image- through interference and visual reference, rains, fogs, plant growth, movement & hues; each picture is an articulation of time, place and seasonal experience. (The pinhole cameras used for this project were designed to look like birdhouses to visually blend into the landscape and deter tampering by the public.)
