"Darkwater ~ Inspired by the Words of W.E.B. Du Bois" is a novelty coffee table book featuring original images of photographer Sinden Collier, paired with the words of W.E.B. Du Bois. W.E.B. Du Bois was a pioneer and a significant advocate of the doctrine that the written word was not sufficient. Visual imagery was integral to his message, thus through "The Crisis," he offered significant insight into visual journalism. He knew that within art lies the qualities of creativity, self-expression, and communication. Art is a language that decreases illiteracy and touches values.
