Streets of Athens

Over a period of months the media reported in different ways about the crisis in Athens. It is a battle which will be held between the governments. How are the people in Athens? What are they doing in their daily life?After ten days in Athens, I got a general impression from the city during the crisis. People running through the streets, doing their job, taking breaks, day by day life passing by. My eyes watch different situations, sometimes I hesitate for a moment, to capture them with my camera. I feel like I‘m in front of a theater and the actors are constantly changing their roles. The sun is burning in my eyes. I‘m tired of watching. Again and again, I have to change my camera settings and also be quick not to miss these magical moments. The streets are full of people. I feel like I‘m in front of a theater and the actors are constantly changing their roles. The Greeks are open-minded and skeptical at the same time. An old man invites me for coffee in his travel agency. His English is surprisingly well, he says that he has learned it during his studies. After a brief exchange, I move on through Monastiraki, towards Ormoniaplace. The track is crowded, noisy and colorful at the same time. I enjoyed wandering and losing myself in the streets of Athens.
