St. Anthony Convent of Varatojo, Torres Vedras. Built between 1470 and 1474 by King Afonso V as thanks to the great Saint Franciscan Portuguese by victories in North Africa.  Brotherhood of Franciscan brothers residing in this convent silence is essential in your spiritual life. Maintains fidelity to the charism bequeathed by Francis of Assisi and drives the evangelical mission. The simplicity of the cloisters and the silence in the corridors link the supernatural. In this Convent live nine brothers and two young aspirants to the Franciscan life. Community prayer and shared meals are the main moments of fraternal conviviality.
