Battalion

This is the photo project about the women who participated in the crowd scene of "The Battalion" film which is dedicated to the First World War. In the autumn 2013 I knew about this film shooting. There were more than a hundred hairless women in greatcoats with rifles in the fields not far from Pskov - like the women's army but everybody agreed voluntarily to participate and to shave hairs almost bald. All the women are completely different by the age, views, temperament, social status. I’ve realized that I can to become one of these desperate woman and I want to make a project about them, about us.
