I started photographing in the ocean almost two years ago. Firstly, the idea was to capture and expose the beauty and dynamism of the ocean in the form of breaking waves and seascapes.
Gradually, I started working more on the colours, forms and shapes found in the waves, sometimes from behind the wave, sometimes from under the waves. Photographing humans in the ocean was a natural progression. Although they are aware of me and my camera, I try to photograph them in a candid way, hoping to capture a natural action and portray the strong relationship in between the ocean and us.
These images are part of a large collection, and by creating and exposing them, I am also hoping to generate a greater appreciation for our oceans, and bring a greater focus to how we interact and protect our environment.
