The work in this portfolio reflects on the attitude of man towards and his exploration of nature and natural places. I personally create images to remember the beauty of wild and natural places and document the athleticism required to reach them. The sublime of the Hudson school painters is very much alive in rural China, Thailand, Vietnam, the High Sierra, Tanzania and countless other locations that are undeveloped and wild, yet still visited. Nostalgia plays a key role as the natural world is in constant flux, very few environments are unchanged by human impacts on the world.
