Wedding Days

The pictures have been taken during the wedding season, mainly June July, in the Basque country, Spain. Weddings are one of the top social events. Though the rate of unmarried couples living together is growing, the economy around weddings is very significant. Last year 166.248 weddings took place in Spain. 70% of them were civil marriages. For a catholic country like Spain this means people are increasingly opting for non religious weddings.
