Animated cartoons are a worldwide language that goes beyond borders. And as Walt Disney once stated it brings to life all what minds could conceive.
Growing up, I learned about social norms, friendship, role model, courage and ambitions through cartoons. What remained intact and vividly remembered through time, was each character’s emotional memory and inspirational scene. Any 90’s kid knows how heartwarming those animated cartoons were.
I’ve always been a dreamer. Making my own bedtime stories before falling asleep might have been my way of rearranging reality and bringing to life my own imagination.
Revisiting those animated series and revealing the parallelism between what I’ve lived and what my favorite characters went through, creates a nostalgic tale and tribute to what shaped the very young artist in me.
While I retrace my emotional journey with my fictional role models and friends, I evoke and awake every universal childhood memory of a first love, a friendship, brotherhood, fear of monsters…
